History

Towers Growth was born out of an appreciation for the industries that operate behind the scenes of our world. Our founder, Mackenzie Yates, started contract marketing work in 2020 to help companies that needed a marketing expert but weren’t ready to hire someone full-time.

After partnering with teams all over the continent, she noticed that her favorite businesses to work with were industries that allow the world to have roads to drive on, food on our tables, buildings to provide shelter, and cars to drive. She fell in love with the industries that many marketers would consider boring.

To Mackenzie, steel and industrial automation and logistics and the like were the most quietly interesting businesses to understand. Towers Growth started so that she could tell their story.

Today, Towers Growth partners with clients across the metals, machining, automation, and professional services sectors, guiding their marketing with the same precision and intentionality they bring to their work.

  • Mackenzie Yates, Founder & Sr. Growth Strategist

    Mackenzie leads Towers Growth’s strategy and client partnerships, bringing a decade of experience in B2B marketing across industrial, manufacturing, and consulting sectors.
    Her work centers on helping technical teams communicate their value clearly and confidently through content, account-based marketing, and sales enablement systems.

    Before founding Towers Growth, Mackenzie served as a Marketing Manager to a safety & health consulting firm, later expanding her expertise as a fractional marketing leader for companies serving the metals and manufacturing industries. She believes great marketing starts with empathy — understanding the customer, the product, and the people behind both.

  • Heather Leith, Content Marketing Strategist

    Heather spent seven years as the Vice President of Content at Growth Machine, an SEO marketing agency, before coming to Towers. She brought exponential traffic growth to clients like Ansys, Adobe, Yelp, QuickBooks, ClickUp, and Givebutter.

    Heather’s search engine optimization expertise mixed with her love for scroll-stopping writing make her an asset to companies wanting to hone their unique voice — and then make it heard.

    As a copywriter and editor at Towers, Heather is always in a Google Doc, looking something up in the AP Stylebook, or combing through interview notes. She lives for finding typos and distilling chaotic copy into something clear, organized, and captivating.
